Seniors (ages 12-young adult)
(Students in this division prepare and perform in our fall and spring productions. Students learn and perform character dancing ensemble roles, theatrical dancing, ballet, (sometimes) partnering, and stage acting. They participate in vocal class and may participate in singing roles. All students are expected to perfect a set ballet syllabus at a high beginning level.
All classes mandatory
Mondays
4:30-4:55 once a month mixed rehearsals with Junior Musical Theater Dance (Sept. 11, Oct. 2, Nov. 6, and Dec. 4)
5:00-5:50 vocal class
5:50-6:50 rehearsals
6:50-7:25 ballet class (with pointe for musical theater dancers who have been invited). Optional for males.
12:10-7:00 Drama Camp--Monday, October 16*
*Drama camp is a basic part of the students' learning regimen and is included in their tuition. It will be team taught by Jenee Grassle and Esther Seim. Students will be given scripts to memorize before the camp begins. Families involved will all provide something for a potluck meal to be enjoyed during the camp. The camp will end with an opportunity for students to present short works to their parents in a studio performance in front of our black curtains.
