For His Glory Ballet Conference 2024
Students from all over the region are invited to attend this Christian ballet conference on April 19-20, 2024, in Southwest Missouri. It includes an exhibition for beginning through lower intermediate students and a competition for higher intermediate through advanced students. The Morrison couple from Southern California will be in attendance. Guy, singer and song writer, will share special songs and Dani, cancer survivor and speaker, will share inspiring messages. Professional dance company Dramatic Truth Ballet Theatre from Kansas City, Missouri, will perform and teach master classes.

Two Options for Students to Perform
Exhibition Program
Beginning/intermediate students (ages 6+) may perform group pieces and/or duets with an older, advanced student.
Competitive Program
Select intermediate/advanced students (ages 7-19) may perform/compete classical and/or contemporary solos and/or group pieces.

Sleep-over at church with other dancers (one-day option for one track of younger students)

Our Judges for the Competition
Catie Tramel
Catie is the founder and former Creative Director of Central Oklahoma Dance Company, a non-profit professional ballet company in Norman, Oklahoma. She was the Ballet Master of CODC’s pre-professional school and performed as a soloist with Central Oklahoma Ballet Theatre for three seasons. Catie danced with the Oklahoma Festival Ballet four seasons, graduating from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dance Education–Spec. Injury Prevention in 2014. She has 10+ years experience teaching ballet technique, modern and contemporary, stretch/conditioning, pointe, and pre-pointe. Her favorite roles to perform were Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Sugar Plum Fairy (The Nutcracker), Clara (The Nutcracker), and Belle (Tale as Old as Time). Catie is currently the executive administrator for Dramatic Truth Ballet Theatre (and is the school representative judge for this event).

Katherine Grote danced with The San Francisco Ballet, Ballet Arizona, The Joffrey Ballet, and Ballet Austin. She was the founder and director of The Pointe Dance Studio in San Marcos, Texas, from 1999-2010 where she also founded River City Dance Theatre, a non-profit, pre-professional dance and theater group for dancers interested in pursuing professional careers. Some of her former students have gone on to dance professionally with Ballet Magnificat, American Repertory Ballet, and Disney World. She currently teaches Ballet 2, 3, and 4 at Rejoice! Ballet Academy (and is the school representative judge for this event).

Registration Requirements
Prices for the event vary according to the options the parent chooses for their child. Parents will see the possible options when filling out the registration form.
Guest dance schools and independent entries (those from outside Rejoice) should fill out preregistration forms and registration forms soon. Late registration is now being accepted. A $70 deposit is due from all guest participants paying late registration by January 15. The final payment for all participants is due on February 15, 2024.
